This game farm is situated on the banks of the Sundays River which runs through the property for +/- 5 km. The Jansenville district is known as a very healthy area, malaria free and is therefore excellent for game.

 

The climate is pleasant with warm summer days 30-35 C and occasionally 40 degrees. A south eastern breeze cools evenings down to below 10 degrees. Winter days are sunny 15-20 C and night’s 5-7C with frost occasionally.

 

A summer rainfall area with thunderstorms (Have you ever experienced a Karoo thunder shower?) with soft soaking rains in spring and autumn. Ideally situated for ecotourism being on the Graaff Reinet/ Port Elizabeth main road which forms a natural end to the Garden Route.

Traditional noorsveld with a large variety of edible shrubs including spekboom, wild plum, granaat, gwarri, karee etc. with a good coverage of karooveld and a large area of riverveld (thorn trees).
